	In the foreseeable future, multiple crises loom large. Fires and floods have become all too common, and bees have ceased pollinating crops for quite some time. The majority of people now rely on diets centered around rice, grains, roots, legumes, meat, and even insects. This global shift in agriculture has led to corresponding fluctuations in food prices, with the costs of insect-dependent foods skyrocketing, while basic staples and their processed derivatives remain accessible.

	This project perpetuates an industrial "tradition" of disconnecting the essence from its source by offering a range of flavors enhanced with nutritional supplements and vitamins, all printed on edible paper.In a world where taste is reduced to graphics, vitamins are seen as medicine, and nature is merely a simulation,


 the responsibility of preserving the adaptability of our brain's paleolithic reward mechanism falls upon printing machines. To achieve this, delay mechanisms have been designed to disrupt the immediate connection between taste and palate, evoking nostalgic eating gestures that mimic a distant interaction between humans and natural food sources.

The Sapir award is one of Israel’s most prestigious literary awards. 

The new Sapir Award connects two motifs; The first is an award bowl, a triumphal archetype that existed for thousands of years, and the second is the negative space of an open book.
	The award is made of porcelain whose shades and composition were specifically tried and mixed, in order to produce unique, distinct and exclusive surfaces. The typography across the sculpture emphasizes the importance of the written word and the literary context.

	Many Purim scrolls contain decorated drawings of Haman’s boys being hanged. Looking at those images, Keret couldn’t avoid thinking of the pendants of common children’s necklaces worn by proud mothers. 
	As a mother herself, this led her to think about Zeresh, Haman’s wife and the mother of their children, and of her righteous right to hit Haman as well.

	Created in the late 19th century by German bacteriologist Dr. Julius Richard Petri, the Petri dish is one of the most vital items in the laboratory, used by life scientists for the cultivation and study of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. The microbes that flourish within a Petri dish often take on unexpected and remarkable colors and shapes. 


	The porcelain Petri dishes we have created draw inspiration from this essential research tool and capture its marvelous and beautiful magic using various combinations of color, glass, and crystal.

	Ming Po

	The starting point of the project is the historical connection between rice and ceramic material in Turkish and Chinese porcelain dishes. In these objects, a grain of rice is "planted" in the side of the vessel while the clay is soft. When the vessel is burned, the rice grain burns and leaves an inverse transcription of its shape - a hole. 
	The glazing turns the opening into a kind of window that allows the light to pass, but not to liquid. This technique, beyond the unique aesthetics, tells of an ancient relationship between ceramics and food through the person who creates both. These actions are performed in physical proximity and parallel skills - kneading, rolling, baking, glazing, etc. 
	In the process we sought to integrate this unique technique into Israeli culture. The rice was replaced with “Ptitim” an Israeli pasta that was invented during Israel’s austerity period (1950’s), and couscous that immigrated to Israel with immigrants from North Africa.

	water erosion is a process that happens in nature, it can take thousands of years for water to carve its way through rock. The streams intensity and the type of rock will determine the shapes.When tweaking the industrial process of water jet cutting the stream will carve it’s way to the bottom, not necessarily in a straight line. This way, it takes a matter of seconds to mimic the natural process and morphology in small scale.

Although the technical drawing for the machine are 2D and extremely basic, this process makes the final shapes unpredictable, organic and one of a kind.The project includes a set of carrara marble objects: serving plates and vessels that examines the morphology of rock shaped by water.
